Having proven for a second time that the far side of the Moon can indeed be explored, humanity now sets its sights on Mars. A group of astronauts is dispatched to found the first settlement and make the Red Planet habitable. If science trusts its calculations and the world’s richest man is backing the project, what could possibly go wrong? Yet even on Earth, unpredictable obstacles begin to emerge...

Director Taro Morikawa, a native of Vienna, is thoroughly at home in the world of humour. Together with multi-instrumentalist Bettina Ostermeier (piano, accordion, clarinet, saxophone), he creates a revue evening loosely based on Jacques Offenbach’s VOYAGE TO THE MOON, featuring the greatest hits from Offenbach’s music.
